To ALL My Crack Pot Friends...

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do. After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house."

The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?" "That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them." "For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house." Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them. SO, to all of my crackpot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path!

THANK YOU LAURA!

Two Teens In Custody, Charged In Carjacking

POSTED: 11:38 pm EDT May 20, 2006
UPDATED: 12:57 am EDT May 21, 2006

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Two teens are in custody after investigators say they carjacked a woman. Deputies said the teens carjacked Jennifer Dunning at the Outrigger Apartments on Shoreview Drive and then were arrested at the Park Baldwin Palms Apartments Saturday afternoon.
"He just said keep walking into the office, don't turn around or I'll shoot. And I did that," said Dunning. She said 17 year-old Phillip Webb pointed a gun at her and gave her two choices.
"Life or car and I choose life and just walked off, got in there and called 911," said Dunning.

By the time deputies arrived, the car was long gone from the Park Baldwin Palm Apartments. But on a hunch, they checked out the Outrigger Apartments about a mile and half away, a place they say is known for crime.
"Deputies established a perimeter, we started checking the known hotspots," said Max Maxwell with the Orange County Sheriff's Office. That's when deputies found the victim's car and 15 year-old Nicholas Webb rummaging through it. He's charged with auto burglary.
Witnesses then pointed detectives to his big brother Phillip. They're mom even showed up at the scene, but both are now in juvenile custody.

Dunning had to wait for several hours even after they found her car. The teens apparently threw her car keys and a bunch of her belongings in a dumpster.

Only discrepency in this story is, the boys stole the car at the Park Baldwin Palms apartments and were apprehended here at the, 'Ghetto'....Outrigger Apartments....Discovered this article AFTER I made post below... Ahhhh, memories...

Living Large In The Ghetto

Sure got the scoop on this one tho..
Car in very front of cop cars was hi-jacked from a college girl from an apt. complex about 1 1/2 mile up the road... This 15 year old boy and his 17 year old brother, dressed in red (gang colors) and waving red bandanas held a gun to her and told her, " your car or your life"..
She close life..
Cops decided to 'check out' this place cause it's known for crime.. Sure enough, they found youngest bro. going through the trunk. Oldest brother ran and threw car keys in dumpster amongst some other personal things they had intended on keeping...Had the drug kit out etc... watched them swab his mouth, etc...
Her trip back to Jacksonville was delayed as they had to go through dumpster to find keys...All over this mornings news... This was pretty much the highlight of my Saturday....hahaha...

Didn't find out nor really wanna know what this one was all about...

Pappy's 'Princess'/Granny's 'Sis'

Her Pappy and I sat side by side today... We sat side by side and watched that precious little thing that we brought home from the hospital, walk down the aisle, up on that stage and accept her diploma...I yelled her name, we both waved....She waved back to us... She blew kisses....We blew them back...
We recalled how she said, " did you see that pappy, huh pappy, what do you think Pappy??? Pappy, Pappy, Pappy...
We recalled how she was his Princess... " Can I get you anything else, Princess? Are you comfortable Princess... Is this TV station allright for you Princess"??

We laughed and we cried as we held each other and watched the baby we couldn't have ourselves but, certainly would not go anywhere that she couldn't go with us,become a young responsible woman today... A young responsible woman we feel we had a hand in shapeing and forming into what she is..
We are so very proud of you Sis and so very proud to be a part of your life...
Thank you for letting us be your Granny and Pappy...
